APL 2021: ‘ChooseUrDestiny’ Ships Seoul Starleague Bounty Tournament


The second online edition of the Asia Poker League (APL) runs till 27 June. The APL Online Series will feature CN¥ 8,00,00,000 in guarantees, which is equivalent to approximately $12.5 million.

The festival mainly focuses on the Asia Pacific region. On 18 June, the Seoul Starleague Bounty tournament took place. This tournament had 1,165 entries in total and the final prize pool stood at ₩233,000,000.  Among the 1,165 entries, the top 170 players made it in the money. Among the entries, 108 players gained entry into the Bounty tournament via the satellite tournaments.

The winner of this tourney was ‘ChooseUrDestiny’ who received a pay cheque of ₩2,47,48,325. This player was followed by the first runner-up ‘A Chotthanat’ who took home ₩10,459,636. The second runner-up was ‘AlsonL’ and this player cashed ₩11,148,349 in prize money. The winner of this tournament is also a well-known online reg who was the runner-up of the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Super Circuit Online Series. Among the 1,284 entries in total, ‘ChooseUrDestiny’ was the first runner up.

At APL Starleague Bounty tournament, Apratim Sharma aka ‘[email protected]’ was placed 6th and had a pay day of ₩45,24,512. Sharma previously shipped several satellite tournaments and is a regular on Spartan Poker, Adda52, and PokerBaazi.

A few notable players made it in the money and qualified from satellite tournaments to play in this bounty tourney. Player ‘luckflyfish’ busted at the 36th position and received ₩715,491 in prize money. The player entered the tourney from a ₩22,000 satellite but managed to receive an impressive prize money. Among the entries, 57 players sold their shares to the sellers on the client. Other than this Bounty tournament, the series offers 20 Jade trophy events with several other events.

The highly-anticipated CN¥1,888 (~ $295) Main Event of the APL festival will conclude with players being able to jump into multiple flights and thereby earning a big stack to play on the final day on June 27th. At least CN¥1,00,00,000 (~ $1.564 million) in prize money will be awarded.
